Embodied Massage
Working with Sam Riches, MTI accredited Level 4 massage therapist, to build a suitable, inclusive identity and website for new holistic therapy start up Embodied.
The challenge was to create a stand out identity that shone through a saturated market of holistic entrepenuers in Bristol and the South West of England.
It was also necessary to accurately represent Embodied as non-judgemental safe space for people seeking a more tailored and inclusive therapy session.
After researching the current market and understanding how Embodied meets the needs of people in search of therapy, our ideas were initially focused around visualising the key component of massage - the body.
To reflect the nature of massage therapy we needed to consider curves, waves and soft corners paired with nuetral colours and inviting graphics.
A warm, inviting and safe feeling colour palette was introduced, paired with soft, unique gradient masks and smooth shapes.
We made it a must that any typographic content should include warped words being manipulated by the brand’s icon to speak the brand’s mission without uttering a word.
The icon remained rough around the edges as a nod to the imperfections we all don.

Examples of how the brand’s visual assets can influence real world applications, whether physical or digital products.
The website’s design incorporated the welcoming colours, soft animations and interactions for a relaxed, easy going experience across desktop and mobile.
